For a live setting, Etchant is a collective of players using non-conforming
equipment such as laptops, sequencers, guitar feedback, effects pedals, MIDI,
theramin, keyboards, bullhorn, and other various instruments. Ranging from ambient
to aggressive electro, sets may be totally freeform or rigidly planned,
but usually somewhere in between.

Depending on the players, you may hear elements of jazz, ambient,
noise, industrial, or breakbeats. It may be sometimes be painfully harsh,
exhaustingly sleepy, or sometimes just outright awful.
It often depends on the setting: we play to the room, the time of day, etc.
It's experimental music; a development tool.

In the home studio setting, Etchant is mostly Casey Grabowski
toying with samples, sound generators, trackers, and recording equipment.
